Recipe for you to try at home with the kids

Where do you stand on the choc chip cookie debate – soft & chewy or crunchy? 🍪

We have this recipe for you to try at home with the kids this weekend 👇🏻

Choc Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 125gm butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup self raising flour
  • 3/4 cup plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup choc chips (or can substitute for m&ms or sprinkles etc)

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 160℃.
  2. Melt butter in saucepan and pour in mixing bowl.
  3. Stir in brown and caster sugars.
  4. Lightly beat the egg and stir into sugar mixture.
  5. Add in vanilla essence.
  6. Sift in flours and baking powder, stir until combined.
  7. Stir in choc chips.
  8. Roll into balls and place on baking tray.
  9. Bake for approx 12-15 minutes.
